Objects for the Collection of Models have been collected since the foundation of the Museum to educate citizens about particularly valuable examples of traditional architecture, as well as technical achievements in all areas of rural life. The collected objects mainly date from the beginning of the 20th century, but there are also objects made by skilled folk art enthusiasts in the second half of the 20th century. Therefore, the objects have a primary meaning as valuable documents, and the ethnographic aspect is visible in the promotion of the value of folk crafts and handicrafts and recording of folk culture. The models were a supplement to the Museum's permanent exhibitions in accordance with a particular concept, and they also served as a teaching aid. The Collection includes 72 models and was formed as an independent collection in 2015.
